Fangs of Regret: Insight of a Training Mentality

This particular post is going to hit hard and fast and may come across as a little demented but I hope it will help if you are lacking with motivation.

What is it we are truly striving for in everything?

Success, correct?

Success is a measurable moment in time that only the person it is effecting can truly say hey, I have made it, I have succeed.

One thing I know about success though is that it tends to come with a constant regret of some sort. The very sort that bears its wicked fangs at you and tries to snatch your success, by simply taking your thoughts and dripping drops of poison in them.

What I came to realize along my journey, is that regret will always be there in some form or fashion. Like ohhh I should have asked that pretty girl out, I should have gone out with my friends, I should have spent that money on that share to make more money.

Literally, the list of regrets stretches for miles on end. What I came to realize is regret is not only the thing that is harmful, but it keeps the average, average.

What I mean by this, is one simple regret that you get caught up on can be the very thing holding you back from taking what you want.

One thing I have always heard about me when I train in a gym, is I train hard. I rarely talk to anyone, I zone out, I try my best to completely annihilate the very muscle groups I'm going after for the day. I try to squeeze ever drop of energy I have and even more out till I can't lift anymore.

That being said if you looked at me I'm not ripped to the bone, I'm not massive, I don't have huge muscles. This is all fine because I know the way that I train and the way I function something will change, something will progress, something will give!

What do either of these have to do with regret and success?

One of my keys to change, that is slowly leading me to what I consider success, is baring my own fangs back at every regret I have in life. I bare them back by training for a personal purpose, by facing my fears, by looking at everything/everyone that has told me it can't be done and then doing it.

You can do anything you want!

The fears and regrets of an average life drive me farther and have become a prevalent source of the destruction I set to create when I step foot into the gym. There are no excuses, there is no giving up, face everything and rip it out of the way.

The pains from my past regrets of not feeling good enough in life, to be with, of not fitting in, of being just another ghost on this earth so many people look through, have produced my passion.

(I highly recommend some of these quotes by Dr. Eric Thomas if you need motivation.)

I call upon these regrets every time I see a doubt just to have them bare their poisonous fangs at me so I can laugh and step into the iron solace of destruction, pain, and darkness to create a vision I see and then come out speaking today I regret nothing.

Today regret must wait another day to take me along that road again.

I have come across many people that will promise you anything; these promises are like a candle in the wind. They will be blown out at the slightest breeze.

I have come to realize that I need others that are willing to stand behind their promises, go after something they want from 0-100 at the drop of a hat, and chip at it day by day for the smallest of improvements.

Taking a look at the people I consider in my pack I know this is true. We all are out there grinding for what we want, holding standards to whatever our passions are, helping each other by support, love, and just wanting to be with each other in some sort of way as each of us pursue our passions.

I feel like every time I make it through a gym session and survive, I'm bearing the torch of hope that beats back the darkness trying to shackle all of us to a life of mediocrity, chaining us to jobs, lives, and regrets of an average life.

It wasn't easy to get to this mindset, one of my biggest insights to this type of training and mindset has come from Kris Gethin. I speak a lot about him but every time he keeps it 100% I feel as if he is speaking to me personally and pulling out the very thoughts I have, but can't seem to find the words to express.

You see in my mind I feel as if I'm a monster, the biggest thing in the gym, but in reality all I truly know is that I'm another person that brings my heart to the battle front every day. That's the battle of average vs success. A battlefront that is only won in the trenches and a battle once won allows you to live the passion and life you are pursuing.

So if you are stuck in a job , at a standstill in life , slaving away in the gym at a program that isn't working. Contact me and I will do everything I can to help you. I will give you my insight on jumping into the trenches and start moving forward towards whatever goal you have.

The only promise I can make is simply bare your fangs, be ready to grind, and work for everything and the success you seek will come. Don't just follow along, join in, be inspired, get active, and don't be like me, be better than me.

If I can do it, I know its within you as well. So lets do this!!
